Collaboration, Not Isolation: Jahan Ara Wattoo launched the Interprovincial Social Protection Forum

Karachi (26 February 2025): Speaking at the Second National Social Protection Conference, Ms. JahanAra Wattoo, Vice Chairperson of the Punjab Social Protection Authority (PSPA), announced the launch of the first Interprovincial Social Protection Forum (ISPF)—a milestone initiative aimed at fostering collaboration among Pakistan’s provinces to enhance social protection efforts.

“The primary objective of this forum is to enhance efficiency, equity, and effectiveness in social protection services across all provinces. I realise that meaningful progress cannot be achieved in isolation. As the saying goes: "If you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go together” she said.

She said that ISPF will serve as a platform for dialogue, knowledge exchange, and best practice sharing, ensuring seamless interoperability of social protection systems across provinces.
